How Payments Work
TruSeller is a marketplace that connects buyers with independent sellers. Each seller is the merchant of record for their own sales. TruSeller never holds, stores, or routes customer funds — payments settle directly to the seller.
Cash on Delivery (default)
- You place an order at no upfront cost.
- The seller dispatches the item or schedules the service.
- You pay in cash at delivery and confirm receipt with a one-time delivery code (OTP).
- The OTP confirms the order was received — it is the proof-of-delivery anchor.
Online payment (select sellers)
- Online prepayment is available only for reputation-verified sellers.
- Payment is processed by our payment gateway and settles directly to the seller’s account; TruSeller holds no funds.
- After payment, the seller dispatches and delivery is confirmed by OTP.
- Refunds, where due, are returned to your original payment method by the seller through the gateway.
If something goes wrong
You can raise a dispute on a completed order. Disputes are tracked and, if unresolved, can be closed by TruSeller. See our Buyer Protection policy.
